I recently purchased and new 17" LCD moniter for my computer. The first few days I didnt even realise I would need to install drivers for it because it worked fine but now that I'm trying to install the drivers, it wont work.
Its causing man problems such as-

Not letting me play some games (it says- Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters, please make sure you have installed the drivers)

    Screen constantly freezes

Every time I turn on the computer again I have to change the slot that the moniter is connected to, so Im constantly pulling out cords.

I have the installation disc that came with the moniter (BenQ FP71G+) but when I add new hardware it fails to recognise that the disk has the drivers on it. I remember when I first put the disc on, it came up with an error message, but I didnt pay attention and just continued, now that message doesnt even come up.

Is there anything I can do such as download the drivers online etc.

    Thanks in advance!
    Andrew.

EDIT: I went into System Info, Problem Devices-
Device = Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
Error code = The drivers for this device are not installed.

don't bother with monitor driver as you need to get video card driver working.
