issue i have been having in past few days have made me miserable.when i start my pc i used to get a blinking monitor with yellow light and then suddenly it used to be orange without any display.simultaneously my pc used to keep restarting on its own every 5-10seconds..finally that issue was solved but then later on i couldnt access xp.so installed a fresh copy and it started working fine and so now 2days back i even installed win 7..it worked absoultely fine except today
suddenly out of no where my monitor starts blinking yellow light and i know the pc is on since i can hear voices of either movie playing back or game..etc...i installed the latest graphic card driver from nvidia today only but i had this problem before installing it..i even noticed that whenever i start a game like condition zero..within few mins my monitor goes black out leaving me with blinking lights only..please help me out here..what can i do to sort it out...

Have you tried clearing the CMOS? Look for it in your motherboard manual.

i havent cleaned anything..i have read few other places as well that there must be a graphic card issues or the graphic card cable can be loose..if at all there is no solution with the wire and graphic card then what other possible issue can be there ?

Here are a few things you can do

    1. Check if your graphics card is in right. Take it out and put it back in. Since it's a 7300LE I doubt it needs an extra cable power cable so that shouldn't be an issue.
    2. Reset the CMOS on your motherboard (usually you can do this by taking out the battery on your motherboard and leaving it be for 10-15 minutes).
    3. Clear any GPU overclocks you might have done.
    4. Check your monitor cable (although I doubt that's the problem).

Thanks for the reply.i did forget to mention that i connected my monitor with the converter.not that i am sure but i think its a hdmi converter.so i unpluged the monitor cable from that and pluged it normally.i started my game and it was working fine but then everything seem to hang suddenly.i could see a orange light on my cabinet which means that my whole memory is being used.am i right?i am working all this on window 7.since it was giving me such issues i thought why dont i try to use xp till then.so i started my xp and as soon as the xp loading goes i can see a blue screen for not even a second and then the computer restarts.so now i dont have xp and neither windows 7:( :( this xp problem i have encountere before installing win 7.so what i did that time was reinstall again and it worked fine.i have no idea excuky what is going on.suddenly my pc has started giving such issues.
    1.pc keeps restarting.prob was solved
2.never used to boot.prob was solved and now again facing issues.
3.the latest monitor screen keep blinking.but now it was working fine after i removed that hdmi converter or what ever it is called.
4.the latest processor is being used completely since everything starts not to respond.
Cannot down clock since i have no idea in this matter.it was my brother who did and he is currently out of town.so any other suggestion?i have removed the battery and kept it.now will put and see if any changes made or not

Yeah see if the battery thing helps out. It should reset every motherboard setting to default and that should rule out any tinkering on your part.

i did do so..well the windows is on for now but my physical memory is constant at 29%ie 608 of 2044mb ram and the most memory used application is firefox only..i dont know why is there such a constant use in memory..what about the over clocking? is there a chance that its unstable now? and if i run some more application with the current state of my ram being used so much i doubt the win will b stable and might start hanging..the cpu usage is 0-4% only...

It took off all your overclocking. If your computer is running stable now that means the overclocking is what was screwing it up. Try ending the firefox process and restarting it. Firefox is a memory hog.

As for the overclocking, what CPU do you have? Google "CPU-Z" and find out your CPU Model number and the stepping. I'm guessing you have a Q6600 B2 stepping and that's why you can't overclock too much.

well my over clocking dint downgrade...it is still there.i must have kept the battery out for like 5-10mins easily.but if u said it will downgrade then wont it require the jumper which has been taken out.well i have hardly some knowledge about over clocking so i am just posting what i can get frm the text file

So your clock speed is still 2.81?

no ..it has downclocked but what about the jumpers and all that were removed and the frequency and the voltages for overclocking? those all were rest back to normal? anyways since this problem is solved what about the physical memory..why is it running constant at 650+ ? that is my ram issue right?
what can i do to solve that now

Taking out the battery reset the settings on your board. Everything, voltages, etc.

As for the memory, try restarting and see how much memory is in use. That seems more like a software issue.

Run task manager to see what is using that ram. It might be superfetch

I think 533MB isn't that high because of superfetch. What that does is that it pre-loads programs you use often into the memory so they start up faster.

how can i agree to that since i recently installed that windows and windows xp only takes 250mb. and the task manager should show the items that use most of the memory right.here i quit the usual application such as yahoo, msn, torrentz and then see the difference .it only makes a difference when i shut the mozilla and can see a 100 reduce in memory usage.there is something else that might be eating or doing right?
