Hi everyone! I purchased a 21.5 inch lcd monitor with hdmi to hook up my ps3 to. Getting them to work together was the easy part but the audio sucks. When listening to movies, its not as loud as you would want it to be, so I hooked up a pair of computer speakers I got in 2002 and at MAX volume its still not that loud. The only way I even no that the audio was coming from the speakers and not the monitor was by putting my ear to it. I have been looking online on how to solve this matter or even what type of speakers to buy but nothing, anyone got suggestions??? your help is truly appreicated

Not sure what you want anyone to say. Sounds like your monitor's speakers suck, which isn't surprising.

You have two options, as I see it... You can either get a full-fledged, HDMI-enabled audio receiver, and get a nice speaker setup for surround sound. Very nice but very expensive.

OR you can use a component output from your PS3 and route the sound (red and white cables) to those external speakers you have. Of course I am pretty sure that your monitor does not support component input, so this might be tricky... On the Xbox360 I do something similar, but my monitor doesn't have speakers, so I use the Xbox VGA output to connect to my monitor and connect the red and white RCA cables to an external speaker system.
