hullo out there! Hiteck helped me to properly install the firmware on this eurovox(red)EX5000 pvr about 10 days ago. it seemed to work ok, but i'm now back to square one!. when i press my"pvr" button on the remopte i'm getting"Hard drive full or not installed"Yet when i go to a channel+press yellow i can set a time for it to record. The display on front of PVR tells me its recording but when i try playback there is nothing on there, its getting frustrating and i'm genuinly convinced that its faulty! But before i go thru the rigmarole of tryin to find invoice etc to return it, i was hopin one of you guys could possibly help! I noticed that other people have boxes that switch ogff at midnite! My box is doin exactly the same!.
Make sure the Hard drive is pushed all the way into the hard drive slot.As for recording watch one of the channels and press red button to record after 2 minutes press stop then press the pvr button and you should find your 2 minute recording in thr pvr menu.Turning off at midnight mine does the same the box may have been made by Cinderella or a new fimware update should be due soon to solve some problems I hope.
