    Here is the situation.

I copied the following movies with DVD Decrypter:

    Batman Begins
    Kingdom of Heaven
    Family Guy the Movie
    Robots

They all decypted fine. I used DVD Shrink for the encoding and DVD Decrypter again for the burn. Normally I would have no problems, bu tthis time I did something different. Instead of using the MAXELL DVD+R 8x I usually use, I got a different brand, Verbatim DVD+R 16x.

Now with these movies, I can watch them because everything freezes up a few minutes into the movie or I get a disk read error.

I tried to get the movie off of the disk, because I no longer have the original disk here, by using the same methods but DVD Decrypter gets errors and so does DVD Shrink.

Can you help me find a way to restore or retrive the movies?
And whats is wrong with the Verbatim disks?

    Any help will be appreciated

    Thanks

Also, the disks are brand new and when I switched back to the Maxell I was using, i had no problems. I also cleaned the disks prior to using them.

Maybe you're burning too fast, or maybe Verbatim just isn't fit? A good way to test is to insert a blank disc to see if Decrypter can recognize it.

Anyway, for the data, try use IsoBuster to retrieve.

    Good luck!

Did you burn the Verbatim at 16x? If so that is not a great idea as lots of people have posted output showing that you are likely to get loads more errors and that you should not burn above 8x.

Also just to make sure that you haven't stuck any stickers onto the DVD's as they are often unhappy with that as well.
