Hi there,I'm yet another having probs with my eurovox max v. No matter wot I do I just can't get the channels up and running. I'm on vm formally c+w. I'm using a null modem cable. I've flashed my box with various updates and firmwares the last one being the 18-4-2008 but to no avail.Once I've flashed the box and then done a power scan it just says "updating channels please wait" then every now and again it says "no signal". The best I've had was all the regular channels but no sports or movie channels. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    Try this,

Take out any spliiters so you have a pure feed to your box, make sure the cable feed is pluged into RF in and not the ANT socket. then try,
Menu> Config>Clear Data> ok enter 0000 as your pin, then ok on Factory default, wait for it to finish ,

Then press Menu along to installation, Press ok type 0000.

Now press powerscan "the Yellow button",

a box will then load like this

Enter the information as is above then apart from start at 100 finish at 700 make sure you set your symbol rate to 6952 then click ok to scan and wait for the result,

    best of luck!

Ok well it's better but not quite there yet. I did wot you asked and I've got lots of channels BUT..... when watching them they go very blocky, then keep jumping and sticking then the dreaded message comes up reading please wait up dating codes and every now and the it says no signal. I have got to this stage b4 but never had it any better.

i've got between 79 and 84% i'm still going through a splitter coz it's the only way i can connect it to the box. Haven't got an adapter to go straight into the box.

Have you turned on your internal signal booster on your box? also the channels that say code being updated, that message should go after about 30 seconds, have you tried leaving it on say Sly sports 1 and waiting for it to update.

right, have turned on signal booster, all strenghts went up, the channels that went to 94% or above were fine those which hovered around 92-93% were better but kept jumping. The please wait up dating screen only comes on for a second or two on these lower strenght channels and then the picture comes back on for a few seconds then off again. AAARRRGGGHHHH!!! all channels just started jumpimg and going off again!!!! signal strenght gone down to low 80's on all channels again. These probs are only happening on subcription channels, BBC etc are fine even though they have only 82-82% strenght.

There is a firmware out for the 8% signal problem you could try it but you dont have a signal problem, 79 to 84% is an ok signal, try taking the splitter out as I said before just to see if its causing problems,

No problem at all shukokai, if it doesnt cure it come back and let us know, I have in the meantime asked one of the pro's to have a look at this thread to see if I have missed anything.

Hi I dont know if you already have it sorted or not but I asked Sc0user about this and the advice he game me was to try a booster with variable gain available from B&Q as the problems you are having seems to be down to a unbalanced signal.

I hope this helps, good luck with it.

I am a very infrequent user of the forum. I wonder if anyone can give me some information. I purchased my Eurovox Max in February of this year and updated with new firmware in April. I am with N*L. To date I have had little or no problem with my system. I heard lately however that the Eurovox may become obsolete next year due to removal of analog signal. I am based in Galway Ireland. Has anybody any update on this - any info would bemuch appreciated.

Its a digital box :) Your area is already fully digital on both cable and MMDS.

Thanks for that Scouser. Perhaps you can answer another question. Have you heard that the suppliers i.e. N*L etc will be able to take out the Eurovox late next year. I was speaking to a guy a couple of weeks ago who was saying that from Sept next year the Eurovox could become obsolete due to this. I would be interested in your opinion.

Sorry Mick age old question. I have already given an opinion on this many times. And I dont have one on it anymore. When/If it does happen then the bridge will have to be crossed. Thats all I will say on the matter.
