I have a crazy question, The BATTERY on the motherbord, what does it do and how do you tell if it is going bad, Ex, I have a computer that if you unplug it for a day or so and plug it back in the clock is not up to date, is this the cause, Thanks.
it keeps the clock up to date and the keeps settings u set in the bios. So yes its the battery thats going.
when the battery starts to go, the 1st sign is the time than date will be wrong. than eventually when starting the computer, it will come up with a f1/f2 or del error. most batteries are cr2032 but can use dl2032 & can be bought for $5.
