Hey guys, I'm gonna buy a new hard drive and use that as like a second one so I can store my files on it, and I'm hoping to get a nice 300gb one. I did some research and everything I have works for it, but I'm unsure as to whether my motherboard has a "48-bit LBA-compatible BIOS".

    My motherboard is this:

I've looked using EVEREST, that site and many other sites using search engine Google, but still, I am not totally clear on what is going on. Can anybody please answer my question as to whether my motherboard has a "48-bit LBA-compatible BIOS"?

    Kind regards,
    Ben

48 Bit LBA is not a BIOS question.
If you are using XP < SP2 - beware...

What do you mean by that? Little more info? Do you mean that if I am running XP SP2 I will have problems? Please be more specific.

www.google.com - type in Windows XP LBA48, and press search button.
