    I'm probably repeating something someone has already asked, but I've been looking and haven't yet found it so can someone PLEASE HELP ME??
    Here's my story:
    I bought a Motorola V3 and installed the complimentary Mobile Phone Tools disc (version 3, I believe) and managed to take a clip from the song (using the Multimedia Studio) and made it into a ringtone! I was pretty pleased with my efforts, so the next day I thought I'd try taking a picture from my PC and making it the wallpaper on my phone. I went into Mobile Phone Tools, went into the Multimedia Studio, Image Studio, tried to transfer the picture across, and after waiting some time for it to try and connect, it failed. So, I've uninstalled, reinstalled about 20 thousand times, it still doesn't work!!!! And now, after reinstalling, and starting up the program, it is taking an eternity with "initializing..." AAAARGHHH!!!! All I want is a new picture on my phone, why did it work once and now refuses?
    What have I done wrong? Why won't my computer read the damn phone? Can somebody PLEASE HELP ME???!!!

    Hi BelV3,

    I'm experiencing the EXACT same problem. After installing Mobile Phone Tools on my machine, I too used Multimedia Studio to edit and transfer an mp3 to my phone. After that I've been unable to transfer anything. The software cannot locate my phone. Like you I've uninstalled/reinstalled. I even tried manually installing the drivers. Nothing. It would seem the software is good for one use only. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Did you manage to find a solution? Can anyone help us??

    Yes, I did manage to FINALLY get my computer to recognise my phone. After actually calling Motorola and being on hold for exactly ONE HOUR *grrrr* the very helpful guy told me to try this: after installing the software, unplug the phone from the computer, SWITCH THE PHONE OFF, back on again, plug it in and start up the software. It worked for me, I hope it works for you too!!

    Bel =)

    Hi Bel,

    Thanks for taking the time to get back to me. I'll give your suggestion a try and hopefully it will work for me too.

    Here's hoping,
    Adam.

    hey, this question has probably already been asked, but i need answers and i can't find them.
    i have a motorola V3 and everything is fine, except when i use phone tools to transfer mp3 files, the ones on my computer are not recognized. Only when i insert a cd into the drive will the software recognize that the mp3 is there and can be transferred.
