OK. So I downloaded this CAD software from my university website in an ISO format. Their directions tell me to burn it to a DVD using a ISO burning software. Well I don't want to have to do this and then put the stupid DVD in my computer every time I want to use this software (which will be alot in the future). How can I go about mounting or uncompressing the ISO file that is on my hard drive.

*This was a legal download so I don't want to here the whole "What you are doing is illegal" crap because it's not*

Alcohol 52% (freeware) or Alcohol 120% (pay version) can mount a data .iso onto a virtual drive.

I second Daemon Tools. Free, simple, and it never fails. Seems strange to me that you would need to put in the DVD to run the app though. Usually only found in games, but I can't say I've used CAD though. If that's the case you may need to burn to a DVD if the DRM on the software prevents running from an .ISO.
