Recently I don´t know what´s wrong with my computer (Pentium 4, 2 Ghz, 256 Mb RAM, GeForce2 MX 440, Windows XP), but at times the mouse pointer goes nuts and starts moving and clicking around the screen. It happens frequently and only when I move the mouse. Could someone help me ?
Try going to your control panel, click on the mouse Icon, then click on the Hardware tab then click the troubleshoot Button, see if windows has detected an problem that might have occured.
Aragorn, are you connected to the internet when this occurs? Try unpluging all phone lines and ethernet cables and see if still occurs. If it does then could be a driver issue with the mouse or a conflictions with recently installed software. Anything new added to your computer when this started? How is the mouse connected PS2, USB or other?
