mov files converting

    Can anybody help.

    How can I covert quicktime-Movie (*mov-files)-files to avi or mpeg2 without degrading the quALITY, WHICH IS 1280X720?

    What do you mean "without degrading the quALITY" ?
    Do you want to maintain it at 720p?

    Yes,
    that,s what I mean. I have used for instance the software Super to convert almost any file, but when i use it to convert MOV-to mpeg 2 the size drops ca 50 - 70 % from the original and I suppose that the quality makes the same, or does it?

    You could have a look at AlltoAvi: http://alltoavi.sourceforge.net/ free but it is slow, a 700 MB avi took about 40 minute's and not sure on quality but didn't appear to be any loss on pc. Generally, that kind of size drop on the conversion equate's to quality loss.
