Hi, new member here, although i'm a complete newbie, i did scout around the forums but couldnt find what i was looking for. last week we videoed my grandson at his xmas concert, using kodak easyshare digital camera. when we loaded it onto pc,and took it into movie-maker, windows says it doesnt recognise the .mov and suggested downloading quicktime. I did that, and it plays, but still cannot get the 4 short vids to load into moviemaker. I'd like to copy the film onto a dvd, as grandsons mum was in hospital that week and she would love a copy. I tried renaming the film .avi , but it opened with winamp and wont play, so i undid the rename. are there any free programs for converting? i had a look las night, theres a few out there, not found a free one yet, but not sure what to get.i'm surprised its not poss with win xp pro. any help greatfully recieved please...jaQ
Yes, winavi is a pretty good for you. You can download a free trial version to have a try. http://www.winavi.com/mov-converter.htm
thanks for all the replies, i found a nifty little program called convertmovie, cost £17, did the job. shame i didnt find out about the free MP4Cam2AVI, but am quite happy. Happy new year to all.
