moved house help!!!! - Starview

    Hi have recently moved house just got round to putting in the star view box...... NTL have been round etc brought old NTL box from old house - now when i have come to swap the boxes over the white ntl cable doesnt seem to fit to any of the holes in the back of the Star View box??? It fit in the old house have brought same old btl box so its not a new 1... Does any1 know if NTL may have used a different cable in new address that wont fit the star view box????? Any help greatly appriciated!!

    Just get an F type adapter similar to this in Maplins:

    and hey presto sorted? thanks, its same ntl box that was at my old address how come i didnt need one at the old address?

    They just had an old standard coax connection there that fit into the SV.

    ok, just wondered y they fit in2 the old ntl box but not the star view

    rang maplins they got them in stock do i actually need to cut the wire n fit this then?

    No just screw in the cable f type plug into the adapter.

    easy job then, there £1.89 that sound about right? might as well go get it now, there open until 7..... just dont want to get the wrong 1.....

    got it but, the fitting on the end of the ntl cable doesn't seem to want to come off?????
