So I just solved my problem with the avi conversion wich had green and black lines thanks to uniique1, and after aouthoring and then burning my dvd I encountered a new problem.

On my pc the menu and the movies are fine but as soon as the cd lands in my dvd player and plays on my tv somehow parts of the picture is gone! The authoring program (Ulead DVD Workshop 2) said I should stay in the title safe area that it shows me and then this won't happen.I can do this with my menu BUT I can't fit my videos inside that! No matter what are the parameters I'm always out of my tv.

The display resolution is 4:3 on the tv and on the video too! I don't know if I only miss something from the sides or from the top and bottom too but IF atleast I could somehow push the picture inside the tv just on sides that would be already fine!

Does someony know what I should do or with what?Is it my dvd aouthoring softwares problem 'cause I didn't see anyone else with this problem?

Or does someone know a software that can add some black boxes to the sieds of the whole movie (so it will be wider and keep the picture in the tv)?

I hope someone can help.(I hope I've put this in the right forum)

Use TmpgEnc Plus to encode to Mpeg-2 (DVD), then use TmpgEnc Author to author it! No problems..

Quite straight forward too.. You can create great menus and even import .psds!

Ok I've tried but no matter what I'll do that thing shuts down without doing the DVD folders! :(
It make a volume 1 folder then in that an Audio_Ts and a Video_Ts but neither has anything in it!
Now what? Am I doing something wrong?

Ok I've read it and did what it said but when I got to 'Begin Output'
I've pushed the button and the program closed just like it would do when you push the x though it didn't ask if I want to save it or not! I have like 26GB of free space and I wanted to make a one sided dvd.
    Do i need more space?

Nevermind I just found a software wich will easily add some black borders for my videos on the side so it will fit on my tv screen (or atleast only the black border will not! :) )
For those who want to know wich program it is it's called
Panasonic Mpeg Encoder 2.51 Standalone. It makes mpeg1s or mpv and mpas(seperatedly only, didn't try the seperated ones yet), not too fast a 30-35min video takes 1h-1h 20mins to encode, picture and audio quality won't get worse that the source file (like if it's an mpeg2, don't worry it won't touch it). Black border can be added to one side of the video or to ac many as you want (Upper limit is 4 of course),
this option is under 'special options' the select 'allow cropping' and then 'add black boxes', then add the size to the sides you want them, then start encoding! No worries it doesn't cut in the picture!

    !!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!

THIS IS NOT FOR .AVI CONVERSION FOR MPEG!!! Sure it does it but it will ask 554GB of free space (yes it IS GB)! If you have that much you may convert with this too!

Just thought it might help some people so I wrote down what I already know about it!
Thanx for trying to help an good look too everyone!!
