DVDSanta is not a very good burning program, and PS2 is not a very good dvd player (esp. if you have had it altered). Try transcode with DVDSanta, but burn with other programs like Nero.

You mentioned DVDSanta, so I supposed you're using it for transcoding (making e.g. avi, mpeg into dvd compliant format) and burning to dvd.

Either way, my suggestion would be transcoding with DVDSanta might be fine ('cos it's so simple to do), but try not use it for burning to DVD.

Now if you have an avi or mpeg, and you use DVDSanta for transcoding and burning, it would ask you after the transcoding whether you would like to burn the file immediately. Just say no and close the program. Then go to the harddisk directory where the transcoded files are stored and try to play the movie to see if everthing is fine. If so, use another program (e.g. Nero) for burning to dvd.

But if you're just trying to copy an entire DVD, try use Decrypter---Shrink.

I do not use Ashampoo, so can't comment on that one.

    Good luck!

No, no, no. Use Nero Recode instead:

Run Nero Recode, click 'copy entire dvd to dvd', then 'import dvd', then go to and highlight the 'Video_TS' folder, confirm, and burn away.

Do post again if it still wouldn't work, and try use a RW for test.

    Good luck!
