Hi: I can download movies I like, but I'm not able to open the file to see the movie. Can any one direct me to the solution to my problem? Thank you kindly
Usually it's just a matter of the player you use, not being able to recognise the file type in question. The fix is quick, painless and best of all..free. All you basically need are codecs. Free codecs are available here at Afterdawn under the downloads tab, under video software and then codecs..but here's the link ...... FFDShow works very well http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/index2.cfm Don't forget to re-start your pc when the codecs are installed, so they can take effect. Cheers.
you need either winrar or hjsplit to get the movie into something that can be played back. Use the vlc player, it plays almost all files including dvd's.
