movie not playing

    i have a .avi movie on a cd-rom,but cant get it 2 play on my computer,i have the movie on my hdd and it plays well,wat could be the problem

    If you can play the movie on the harddrive and can't play it on your computer ... ?

    the movie was on my hdd and plays well.i decided 2 burn it on a cd,but now the movie on the cd doesnt play,its not a cd problem cuz i tried burning with ddiffernt brands of cd
