What titles are you trying to back up?

Since this is a very odd problem for the often updated slysoft programs, I'm quite certain you don't have the latest versions of these programs. D/L them at their slysoft website. What version do you have?

Also what brand media are you using and how fast are you burning?

    I agree with LOCOENG

    Sounds like a media issue.

What is the manufatures ID# of the DVD's?

I wouldnt burn faster then 4x

Plus it always helps to custom size output of the DVD a little smaller so the burn dosent go to the edges of the Blank DVD.

Below is a guide on what class Manufactures ID# are. I wouldnt use any Class 3 or Class 4 media.

    http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

You can find the media ID# if you have Nero. Go to your START/PROGRAMS/NERO and find Nero Info Tool.

Make sure you have a blank disc in the DVD writer before running the Info Tool.

After you run it click on the DISC TAB and down the list should be the manufatures ID# of the disc.

Ditch the Memorex as they are some of the worst media you can buy and get some Verbatims...they are widely available and frequently on sale.

I misread what was posted. My error!

I thought the freezing that occurred was the program--not the burned disc in the player, hence the reason why I claimed it was an "odd problem."

C'mon, you don't think that I know CMC Mag causes burned discs to skip or freeze?

I edited my post Mr. Pink and took the quote out. Using Memosux is more then likly your problem. As Log said ditch them and buy better media.
