I have never had nightmares from a movie before, I suppose it's because I haven't really watched any horror movies.

The evil dead was very scary, especially when you watch it for the first time: At night, only the tv on-no other lights, and by yourself. Pretty scary!. It had me disturbed for a few days, LOL. No nightmares though. I'm use to blood/guts/gore/and pure horror.I can't get enough of it.

Cujo got me for weeks, I slept with the light on and usually with my head under the covers. Mind you I was only about 10 when I saw it.

Now going back to when I was a kid, [bold]Salem's Lot[/bold] really scared the bejeebies out of me. I had to turn it off after the part when the kid is floating outside the window, trying to get his buddies to let him in-just floating and banging the window!!! It took me years to watch that whole movie. I forgot about that one in my first post.

I was horrified that Jack might pull himself out of the water instead of going under. Then to make matters worse, Celine Dion starts singing My Heart Will Go On. I still cringe every time I hear that. <Shudders with fright>

I'm a big fan of the rare horror movie that is actually scary and actually good. The latest one I saw that fit into this category was

    "The Eye"

    -Foreign/subtitled (asian)
    -rentable
-Solidly scary flick with my recommendation.

White Noise is one that really really freaked me out not due to the fact it's was scary but all the stuff they do in it to contact the dead is meant to be doable, that had me for about a month thinking that something would turn up, how sad am i :) but Google EVP and you'll know.

It's strange but I haven't ever seen any nightmares connected to the sickest movies I've seen, those few movie-oriented bad dreams have been based on regular stuff like Friday The 13th (Jason threw me into the bathtub full of acid) or Nightmare On Elm Street (lost in the boiler room, anyone?). Most oppressive of them was one which had very much similarities with plot of Dead And Buried: There were re-animated girl who didn't knew they were dead, and after she realized that she started immediately decay in front of my eyes. Strangest thing was that I saw that dream before I watched the movie first time, and THAT made me feel odd.

I forgot about "IT" for YEARS I would check the drain while I was taking a shower waiting for pennywise to come out. Never had any nightmares but it sure did spook me. Phantasm creeped me out when he was sewing the guys eyelids shut.

I think I developed sleepwalking after watching Nightmare on Elm St.

After watching Arachnophobia I always feel like there are spiders on me before I got to sleep.

Sometimes after watching a scary movie I feel on edge when walking in the dark. Usually on for like an hour or so after the movie. Not really any nightmares.

The only dream I had about a movie was the 13 Ghosts. I had a fever so that played a part too. If you have seen the end of the movie you know that the kids are in the center of the machine with whoops moving quickly around them that if they moved they would get hurt. I dreamed I was siting in the center of that. Very scary!

Just speaking of dreams in general. I once was having a dream and suddenly woke up and for a few minutes I didn't know where I was. I was in my room in bed but in my dream that carried over into reality I thought I was sleeping on my friends kitchen table for some reason. Anyone else have something like that happen? I have that happen more than once but that was the funniest example. Come on why would I be sleeping on someones dining room table?
