I've been having trouble copying movies that have previews on them. (ie; Capote, Brothers Grimm...) When I try to copy just the movie the program quits. If I copy the entire disc it seems that the previews will copy then the program quits. I'm using ICOPYDVDs2 standard edition and DVD43 3.7. Apparently (from reading other threads)ICOPYDVDs2 is a lame program but it has worked great for me for a long time now. I haven't had any of these problems with older movies with previews. Are there any upgrades that I need to install or is this some problem with new movies?
Try switching to some better programs. Bros. Grimm & Capote have newer protection - that dvd43 may not be able to handle. You can try anydvd (free for 21 days from slysoft) like DVD43 but much better. Or rip the files with dvdfab decrypter (dvdidle). Not fimilar with 1copydvds2 so don't know if you can then open the files ripped from dvdfab in there.
Thanks, just tried the trial version of AnyDVD (along with the lame ICOPYDVDs2) and it worked like a charm. Thanks for the info.
AnyDVD from slysoft costs only $40.00, with maybe a discount for belonging to AD, this I don't know. It'll be the best money you ever spent. I stopped having problems after getting it. Later
