Why when i use nero to make my movie mpeg the file increases by like 2 times. i now need 3 discs for one standard 1 hour 20 min movie.
It sounds like you're converting it to Video CD, if you're converting to use it in a VCD Player, then that's about right unless you're going with xvcd or something like that. What is it that you actually want to get as an end result?
