Moving video from camcorder to editing software via mini-dv!!!

    I was curious if I would need to buy a camcorder with SD recordable properties to transfer the video to my editing software or if I can just hook up my camcorder via fire-wire and transfer it straight from the mini-dv?

    you should be able to hook it up through firewire as long as the camcorder has a DV out :)
