I'm having an issue with Nero when creating an audio compilation CD. I already know how to create and burn, However I've noticed when attempting to burn multiple albums onto one disk Nero automatically changes the numerical order of the songs, it groups up all the songs by track number mixing up all the albums.
Does anyone know how I can change this feature, so I can create the compilation in the order I want to hear it?
I appreciate any advice i can get. Thanks in advance.

(I'm new here, So please try and mind any offenses, just need the info so I can get the job done and move on :))

I don't think this is a Nero problem.
Any listing of files on a disk (or a folder) is alphabetical - except when compiling an actual audio cd.

Ok, here's what I'd like to do:

-Lets say you have 4 "The Killers" albums (MP3 format)-

-And you want to burn them onto One disk using Nero-(chronologically)

-First album "Hot Fuss", followed by "Sam's Town", followed by "Sawdust", followed by "Day and Age"-

-Now you drag and drop "Hot Fuss" into Nero, but when you drop "Sam's Town" in Nero the program blends the albums together matching up the track numbers. example: 1 1, 2 2, 3 3, 4 4-:etc.-

-How would you go about compiling the songs in chronological order?-
-How would you override the default alphabetical order Nero places the songs in?-

No this isn't a Nero problem, it's a technicality I'm having when attempting to create my own custom compilation using Nero.

Create a folder, containing the songs, named with their track numbers, for each of the 4 albums. Name them as 01 Hot Fuss, 02 Sam's Town, 03 Sawdust and 04 Day and Age. Make your compilation at the folder level.

Will this method interfere with the playback of the CD in my car at all?

    I'll try it, thanks.

I use this method for creating MP3 discs that play in my Pioneer Car Player, various DVD players and my Marantz CD player that plays MP3 discs.

My Pioneer Car player supports the hierarchial folder structure - I can have folders in folders down many levels.

    Enjoy

Has its been said put folders on the disk containing the tracks in the folders and rename each track how you want it to be played in the folder i.e....... 01 this is easy 02 Ive got the hang of it now...... the best way to do it in Nero is make the disk as a data cdr don't use the Nero audio CD wizard

Hey killalot, how does that work again?

When I make a data CD and drag and add folders into the Nero Express window, they are re-ordered alphabetically. That's why I prefix my folders with 01, 02 or AA, AB etc. Even within the folders I assign a number prefix so the MP3 files play in my order rather than alphabetically by filename. I'm using 7.10.1.2

    Thanks.

when you ad the folders they will be listed alphabetically A first etc if you want them listed in to you own preference you will have to ad numbers at the beginning of the file name has you've said 01 etc

Meh. WinAmp and the 'playlist unpacker' plug in is the way to go.
