My mp3 players sound went very low all of a sudden. I have it years it's a Sony NW-A3000. I think it's something affecting the contact with the jack. It's not the headphones. How do I open the case?

Edit: Just tried to connect it to my speakers and as soon as I put in the jack I get alot of white noise without even turning on the mp3.

This should have been posted in the mobile/portable mp3 player forum. If the information you supplied is accurate, I would suspect the player is on its last legs. You can get much more memory for cheap these days. I recomend the Sansa line. They play most formats, have superior hardware and are the cheapest named brand.

No need to repost, I answer most of the requests but we are getting a great deal of miss placed querries that do not have much to do with what we are supposed to be dealing with.
