I'm just looking for the opinion of someone with a lot of mp3 experience on this one. The reason I'm asking is,

Is it really as high quality as it's said to be?? I mean, the highest I can rip an mp3 to is 96kbits/s. That doesnt seem very good although I must admit, its sounds excellent!

Should I just stick to normal mp3 (I usually rip 320kb/s) or is this really a good solution??

MP3Pro is no replacement for MP3. It has technicues to reproducde more high frequencies at low bitrates (64-96kbs), but it has no ability at all to produce Hi-Fi sound, like the original MP3.

OGG Vorbis is told to kick MP3Pro's butt in the low bitrate area, and likely AAC does it too.

Short: Stick with MP3. 320kbps CBR is a waste of space in my opinion, haven't you read this one: http://cd-rw.org/articles/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm
