mpa files

    I recently downloaded Triple x, i'm converting it to an svcd using TMPGEnc, the problem is that when is starts decoding about 4 mins in it says mpa (whatever number) can not be opened, how can i fix this.

    What audio the AVI has? If it is AC3, then you have a slight problem (not unsolveable, we have a FAQ for this in forums) -- if it is normal WAV or MP3, you might want to do demuxing (splitting the AVI into separate audio and video files) with VirtualDub.

    How do you find out what audio it has,

    I managed to make a separate wav file for the audio using virtualdub

    Ok. So, now try loading the AVI as your video source and the WAV as your audio source in TMPGEnc and try it again.

    Thx for your help, just one more thing, can you pause the encoding as it says its gonna take 30 hours to do.

    I think you can, never tried though. But if you pause, you still have to keep the program running, you can't pause it, turn off the computer and pick up where you left later on.
