MPEG and MPG

    What is the difference between MPEG, and MPG?
    I am looking to get a Zen video MP3, and I want know if it can play my vides I downloaded on Limewire in MPG.
    These videos are NOT copyrighted just to let you know...

    MPG is just the file format, MPEG is the name of the compression mechanism. Of course, there's MPEG-1 (video), MPEG-2 (video), MPEG Layer III (audio, better known as MP3), etc.

    I don't like about Creative products because that they embed spyware right in the hardware. But it seems to support all mainstream MPEG compressions.
