I am using DVD Lab to try to make a DVD from MPEG-2 movies created using my ATI TV Wonder adapter. When I import the movie, DVD Lab demuxes the file into video (.mpv) and audio(.mpa). When it finishes demultiplexing I get a message that states my audio file is not DVD compliant because it was created using a 44KHz sample rate. It asks if I want to transcode it using 48 KHz sample rate. I select Yes, it transcodes the file and it appears as though eveything is OK. However, when play .mpv file using preview pane, I only see video - no audio. When I double click the .mpa file, it opens in Media Player and it sounds fine. What am I doing wrong? Why doesn't the audio come through when I play the preview?
DVD-Lab does Not Preview audio so everything is OK, The reason why it doesn"t Preview the audio is Because after the Files have been Demuxed into seperate audio and Video files the Audio Stream Looses it"s PTS Timestamps so DVD-Lab doesn"t Know to sync the audio to the Video without them...Don"t worry Everything is A OK, Next time use 48000hz when Captureing because resampleing in DVD Lab to 48000hz will Degrade the Audio Quality...Cheers
You are right, everything is OK. I changed my ATI capture settings to use a 48 Khz sample rate. Thanks for the information
