MPEG Conversion

I downloaded a few mpeg movie files that I want to burn onto DVDs. What program(s) (preferably free ones) can I use to do this?

There are other more simple ways:

1) Convert the mpegs into dvd compliant format with VSO DivxToDVD (free version):

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm

(You can add more than one avis at a time, just keep adding before hitting 'convert').

2) Burn with Nero or any other free burning program.
