hi all. it seems some of my codecs have gotten messed up. none of my vids clips or movies play anymore. installed some k lite mega pack and it worked for a while then reverted back. i am running windows xp and would really appreciate the help thank you!
Try installing VLC. It's a media player that uses its own internal codecs. It does not install any codecs in your system and will uninstall cleanly. From my own experience, once codecs are messed up and if uninstalling them doesn't help, then the suggested solutions, like registry cleaning, don't help either. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_players/vlc.cfm
