I have a dvd player that will play mpeg movie files but I have a few movies on my computer that are avi, realplayer, etc. What program will convert all my movies to mpeg movie files?

Tmpgenc or the MainConcept Encoder or CCE or Procoder are MUCH better encoders than Cucosoft and have many more options and will produce much better quality mpeg files at a Lower bitrate...
But Cucusoft is easier to use! I've got TMPGEnc DVD source creator which is the cheapest one they have. Minion is right about the ones he listed. You get what you pay for. I just do camcorder stuff and these two programs are pretty easy to use for that. Heres some links to the encoders Minion is refering to.
