I have a few video files that seem to have a 2 serious problems.

Everytime I try to play a 15 minute file or so, it will show the first 20 seconds of it and then freeze video and the audio will continue. If I skip ahead past the frozen point it will freeze all together.

The second one is that a file that is 5 minutes long will only register as 19 seconds. When I play it, it will play 19 seconds of it and if I skip ahead 9 seconds, it will appear 2.5 minutes into the movie, but it will play it till the 10 seconds are up and then it ends.

    HELP!!!!!!

What program are you using to play the movies? Also are these downloaded files?

Ive used Windows media, BS player, winamp, ATI media, Quicktime, and Divx player. Ive tried installing every codec known to man and redownloading the files. I just dont know.

You might possibly have conflicting codecs if you have downloaded loads of them, which sometimes cause problems. Have you tried using gspot or avicodec to find out specifically which codecs you need for that file?
