    Hello all!

I used Cyberlink PowerDirector to create a custom MPEG1 file on my pc. However, the resulting output file didn't play at all. In Windows Media, the sound played but not the video. in Winamp nothing at all played. So I thought ok, maybe bad video. But when I played MPEG's that I knew worked and nothing was happening I knew something wicked this way was coming. I don't understand why a computer I bought last week and tagged "Media Center Edition" wouldn't already have MPEG's playable. Is there something I should have downloaded (already got DIVX) or is there addtional errors?

Any help would be hot. -ZaCHARY

WMP should be able to play MPG1's without any problem.

All I can think of is the encoding process missed out on the audio. Was the original audio encoded in VBR? If so, that's a little trickier and sometimes the audio doesn't come out.
