Folks, wondering if someone can help me out here.

I am trying to burn off a series of 130meg MPEG files to DVD. The problem is there are like 40 of them in the series and it will take multiple DVD's to fit them all on.

They are movie files Mpeg3 i think and currently if i use a CD it only fits 43 per CD and DVD it fits 4. My problem is i need to convert from MPEG to Video TS (I use ConvertXtoDVD) which obviously converts at 4* the size. I usually use Nero for Cd burning and sometimes DVd but allow ConvertxtoDVd to convert and burn the dvds also.

I am wondering if there is a better method than i am using without sacrificing the quality? I have a DivX dvd player hooked up to the TV which can play basically anything. My friend has the original series of these programs on original DVD boxset but theres like 5 DVd's in all! If i am to burn 4 per DVd then it'll take like 10 DVd's!!!

    Any help appreciated.

You lost me here... If you burn the 43 mpegs onto a CD and play them in your Divx player, that plays about anything, which I assume includes mpeg, then why convert them to DVD-Video, and not burn them onto a DVD data and play them, without any conversion?
Your buddy might have 5 original DVDs that are DVD9, so you would get about 10 DVD5.

Sorry sorry, if i put them on CD it will fit 3-4 per CD.

So ur saying i can burn them as DATA in Nero and they will still work yes?
When you say 10 DVD5, whats DVD5? Pardon my ignorance.

    Okay, now it makes sense!
I don't know if it will play for sure, if your player supports mpeg playback. Burn one CD if you don't have a RW disc and see if it will recognize the mpegs without conversion. If not, converting the mpegs to Divx, since you have a player, would save space. I don't know about the quality, but I guess you can give it a try. Look and see if it plays mpeg.

DVD5-the regulat DVD-/+R that with a capacity of 4.7GB. The originals are probably DVD9, or Dual Layer, and have a capacity of 8.5Gb or so.
