hi all noob here. i've downloaded a bunch of "public domain" cartoons and trying to burn them to dvd. after trial and error i've found they have dolby digital sound tracks so when i try to do authoring with roxio dvd builder i get no sound, i downloaded TMPGEncDVDAuthor16 and same problem but at least it said i need to get the ac3 plugin, well that does not work with the trial version. i looked around on the web but don't know really what to look for, so is there some sort of converter that can convert mpeg with dolby to mpeg with mpeg1 audio???? or any other suggestion you have. thanks for any help kevin
jigen i'm not trying to extract the audio from the video. i need to convert mpeg video with dolby digital sound to a mpeg video with mpeg1 audio sound. i've tried the ac3 open source codec but that does not seem to work with roxio or tmpgenc authoring software. thanks kevin
Right, but with Headac3he you can convert the sound, load the video into DVD Author, but select the new converted audio track you created for the sound. Edit, author and now you have a DVD with the original video but with MP3 or WAV sound.
