Hi there, i found some program that coverts rm file to dvd file. Which option should i use? convert rm to dvd or rm to mpeg2 file. I did some searching on DVD and MPEG2 and results shows that they are almost the same thing. Which one works on stand alone dvd player? converting to DVD with video and audio ts file? or covert rm file straight to MPEG2 file?

    Cheers

Convert it to a video_ts folder, this will play on your dvd player

If you want your converted files to play on a stand-alone then convert to DVD.

    both answers are correct.

But i prefer fastfranks method.Once the .rm files are converted to mpeg2 then its very easy to use a reauthor program like tmpgenc dvd author which will utilise most burning software to get your project to disc.Even if you chose the other option the program i mentioned above can still be utilised but you need to change the way you reach the same outcome.

Just curious what did you use as the converter?
