I have 2 movies one on 2 cd's and the other on 3 CD's. The problem I have is that I cannot drag the AVSEQ01.MPG files from the CD to my hard drive.
When I try I get an error when it's nearly complete stating it cannot read file.
This is the same case for all 5 CD's and the file size is almost 800MB which leads me to think someone has done this purposly to try to protect the CD.

Anyone else come across this or have a solution I would be very greatful because I want to try to convert them to DVD.

PS They play perfectly and the whole cd can be duplicated with clone, I just can't do anything else with the mpegs.

CDs cannot be really protected. Use VCDGear to extract the .dat file from the CD into .mpg.

Just tried VCDGear but the files I am having problems with are MPEG2.

I tried anyway with VCDGear to convert mpeg > mpeg to see what happens but the end result just plays a screen of rubbish.

I played around with the settings on VCDGear (Nothing to loose) and on 1 occasion got an error "Incorrect pack size" with the mpeg.
I just thought that there may be some program out there that has allowed someone to burn the cd and report a false file size but maybe the job wasn't done right in the 1st place. (Just a coinsidence that the 5 cd's are the same)
