i get this error when loading a mpeg2 file:

mpeg import filter: invalid pack at position 7

After ripping with iso buster it turns to this:

mpeg import filter: invalid pack at position 3

    Any help would be appriciated.

Maybe your mpeg is corrupted. Try use VCD Gear to check and correct the errors (set 'Extraction/conversion' to 'mpeg to mpeg' and check 'fix mpeg errors'). Be sure to backup the original mpegs first.

    Good luck!

I have done what you wrote: now i get error at 3 (same as if i have used isobuster)

Aldough: when using VirtualDub 1.5 (i get the errors with 1.6) it loads good but when i recode it to .avi, the screen of the movie gets small when played in a mediaplayer. How can i set the 4:3/16:9 of the recoding to .avi in VirtualDub?

VirtualDub doesn't support MPEG2. The v1.5 you are using must be a non standard version.

VirtualDub doesn't allow you to set AR, you would need to use something like mencoder, but you have to output opendml and it wouldn't resize via most players (wmp, etc.).

What codec are you using though? If it is MPEG4 or AVC then you can set it after encoding with MPEG4Modifier or during encoding in the case of Xvid, 3ivX and x264.

edit: MPEG4Modifier can't modifiy AVC encodes.

As a last resort, you may need to cut off the corrupted part(s).
