Getting very frustrated. I am using Snapstream's BTV 4.2 and an ATI TV Wonder Elite TV Tuner card to capture TV programs. Works great. However, when I take the MPG file created by BTV and run it through Nero Vision Express 3 (6.6.0.18 or 3.1.021)to create a DVD-Video the audio gets out of sync by about 2 seconds. I have seen this same problem posted numerous times in various forums but I have yet to find a solution that works for me. The quality of the MPG file created by BTV does not change the audio sync issue - "Better and BEST" both end up with the same problem. I cannot believe everybody's got the same problem with Nero so I must have something screwed up to make it to do whatever it is doing. Short of giving up and buying different software... which seems to be the most common solution I've seen in the forums... I really would like to get to the root cause and maybe even make it work! I'm sure the solution is out there I just haven't been able to find it. Help would be appreciated.
I've seen this problem when nerovision has to reencode video files where certain audio compression is used. There's a program I use called decompress that will reencode the audio to pcm which fixed the problem for me.
