.mpg to divx

    i have a video of size 1.13gb which is in .mpg extension. i want to convert this video(movie) to divx format so that it can be fit in one cd(700mb) without loosing the quality of movie. please help me in this matter. i have one question what is the difference between a divx & avi . thank you.
