MS Ban Hammer - 10.30.09

Ok guys here is all my info:

Contry - USA
Stock BenQ - iXtreme 1.61 (Just updated today, was at 1.6)
All games verified with ABGX360
- ISO ran twice before burning
- Disc ran after burning
Never played a game before its release date
Have not played any WAVE 4 games
Never used the Activate.ISO disc
Stock 120GB HDD
Played Borderlands (Just started last night)
Always connected to LIVE
This is my second 360, first one was banned almost 2 years ago

Not that it matters but:
Wisper Max Fan
Core Cooler V2 (Hard wired to 12V under motherboard on PSU pins)

As of right now I am not banned, if I do you will not hear any whining from me as I know the risks.

I was banned with a iXtreme 1.66 firmware on a Lite-On drive . Iv'e had it modded for a month now and have only played the games: Halo3:Odst, UFC 2009, NFS:Shift, and CoD5, wich were all properly stealthed and verified by abgx 360.

First of all im not banned, but i have a benq spoofed as a liteon, I traded my old box which was already modded(toshiba/samung 1.6) to a guy for a unmodded elite box, because I wanted the HDMI. I first modded it back in May I think, and I was new to the whole flashing scene, so stupidly I played a few games early without getting banned. I found out now that the guys box is banned and I know he hasnt played any games early because im the source for his games. Ive had the Elite for over 2 months and ive played every game thats come out nearly, but never early and only when it verifies, so I may be wrong but I think M$ may be going back and checking from much earlier dates, and thats why they are swooping in the way they are now with some being banned and others not. PPL think back try to remember wut u played and when, and did it verify.

 

Does anyone know why all the bannings have occurred or has anyone called Microsoft to find out?

playing unverifyed games here, and always play early, however i did not play borderlands and forza 3 early. NOT BANNED.

 

Playing online last night till about 9PM EST (That was Oct 30) and was not banned. Didn't hear about this till a co-worker messaged me today about an article on IGN regarding this. I have played Forza 3 early so I am probably at high risk for it. Are they still banning consoles today or is the wave over? Reading over the internet, nobody really has a clue how they know the consoles have been modded. My theory is the last update with WPA2 and to restrict unauthorized data storage (memory cards from Datel for example). Could there have been something in this update that they could read what firmware you have on your DVD drive? I'm sure there was to be a way of them being able to do that and maybe this update has. I could be wrong, very wrong, but just a guess. I will check tonight if my console has been banned, if it has, no biggie cause I could care less for XBL. I work all day and come home and play some forza and a few songs on rockband and time for bed. I have no time to go on and play with other people. If I am banned, I can play games early with no worries.

 

you know what is funny i am seeing the new call of duty posted everywhere and all the posters are saying go ahead play the game just don't play it on live and you will be fine. i see all these replies saying oh this is great i can play it as long as i don't sign in.

and you wonder why you get banned

This guy should be banned from reproducing. I can't believe he has a kid. I hope this kid doesn't seek help from his dad for grammar and spelling. You need a license to catch a fish, but any bum on the street can have a kid.

 

This is really good info. This actually might explain a lot.

If UNBANED people can confirm the time of their flash that will add to what we can confirm. That M $ are actually looking at PREVIOUS games with bad stealth.

So now we have to get a list of unbaned people with locations, flash date, games, and drive...wow.

to clearify, some people say they get their gamertags banned and consoles or whatever, ONLY MY CONSOLE WAS BANNED. i repeat ONLY MY CONSOLE was banned. so yes, i still have my gamertag intact(really mt only worry) and YES, i used abgx to stealth ALL my games and STILL got banned

my o p i n i o n on banning....

i have a lite-on 74850c with 1xtreme 1.6 and was banned.....i think its all about the games( i.e. bad rips) and a little bit of common sense by M$. say you've had XBL for 3 years. and u have 1 or 2 or even 3 games you play online in that time, and ALL OF A SUDDEN in a week you've played like 13 games....M$ DOES have a log of what game you've played and when you've played it. not to mention a log of EVERY game you've played online with your GT.

to sum it all up, i'm not all that upset or sad. because i only played halo 3 & the nba2k series online. which i have the retail copies to, AND another 360 i have as a back up, so if i cant play fable, or batman, or naruto online......who cares.....if u save $10 for every 7 games you copy, that's $70. go and buy the games you REALLY REALLY play online(which is about 3 outta every 10 games you have) and who cares about the rest....OH and squeeze in 360 virgin while ur at it....best of BOTH worlds.... my bad hope it wasnt too long....

 

Thank you. I dont know why everybody is so upset? Just have one for single player games and one for on-line games. Money saved on games would more than pay for a second console and would be win/win for everybody because microsoft would sell 2 consoles per person...
