MS Ban Hammer - 10.30.09

Theories like this make no sense. MS are probably making a slight loss on each console sold still. They want people to buy games, accessories, Xbox Live subscriptions and content from Live. That's how they make their money. If they had a "script" that could detect all modded consoles, they wouldn't just use it once a year and they'd ban them all.

Played games early: I've played Forza 3 and NHl 10 offline one time each before release date

Banned Before: never
Registered with M$: No
4th Wave/Activate.iso: When I had 1.6 I played tekken and gta with activation disc.
When I flashed to 1.61 I have played both with out the disc
Sent Back for repairs Console to M$ with ixtreme FW: No
Sent Back For Repairs with Orig FW Back On IT: No
ABGX 100%: the only 2 games I did not wait for were forza and nhl
all of my other games I waited till abgx verified and release date

I wanted to add that I used my 360 to power my drive when flashing

 

So everyone who has been banned cannot install games now?? plz confirm.

Might work if we format the hdd or clear cache?

pro 60gb hdd no storage at all modded, hdd or mem cards.
original dvd drive that came with the pro bundle.
Never played 4th wave or used the activation disc.


LiteOn 74850c, iX 1.6 flashed back around 2 months ago

Have about 21 games that I have downloaded from 360iso, verified them all and all were clean except FIFA 10 which I still haven't reburned, I believe it was a stealth patch so im probably sol...but Not banned as of this minute.

My question is is it possible to update a drive if I do not have my drive key? I want to update to 1.61 lite on when the lite on is released by iX, but I had my flash done by someone and I don't know if he saved my key or what, he did use JungleFlasher however.

The only game I played early was forza 3 and it was a simple tag ban for playing early nothing else. Otherwise all of my games have been fully verified by ABGX the exception as I said FIFA 10.

One more thing. When power cycling do you have to do the half-way tray like when originally flashing? or is that only for retrieving the key?

 

I think maybe its time to set up a new thread of UNBANED consoles with only facts and nothing more. I don't know how it should be set up but what I do know is it should include Date of FLASH, Drive, games played, how were they acquired, and verification status of the games. I think if we do this then we can analyze the difference between those that survived the wave and their connection. This thread is getting out of hand :-/

 

I've read through most of the posts and it seems as though only the people who being banned are people who played unstealthed games or pre-release.

I doubt this is the end of the ban wave though.

 

I agree with you completely but to be 100% sure I think with all the comments (many off topic that just talk down on others) we should try to prove this theory.

well technically i guess its not over. but 3 guys that are afterdawn addicts told me that they have been thru all of the waves and if you get thru the day where everyone says "banned" and you sign in and your fine, then your not banned till next wave. Like pretty much saying there is only one ban wave a year, but you never know when the next one could be

So if you have played verified games from torrents on a 1.6 iX such as COD MOD 1, COD WAW, and halo ODST and not yet been banned, is there any chance that buying a legit copy of COD MOD 2 will help you not get banned or are you already screwed amyways

 

You're most likely screwed. But if you haven't been banned yet just don't play anything early and verify games with abgx.
