You can't. For all we know the ability to disable installs has been in the firmware since NXE was released as this is the first post-NXE ban wave (console ban wave) and pre-NXE you couldn't install games anyway, so even if you could roll the firmware back, you'd probably be shit out of luck.

The free60.org homebrew guys probably have the most experience with rolling back updates. I am assuming it would take a JTAG flash of the motherboard.

If I were looking on info for how to roll back updates, the homebrew guys would be the first ones I would be asking.

Yes, Tversity works on my banned 360. It also plays movies fine from an external hard drive.

It starts fine finds all my folders and files but anything I try to play says it has to update. These are files I was able to play before the update.

 

I'm not being picky at all. I did a Google search on "unflashable lite-on drive" or something to that extent prior to reading 360lifer's post (I was thinking of buying a new console because my DVD drive is dying but someone told me the new Lite-Ons couldn't be flashed, so I checked it out). I happened to come upon a page linked to this forum about the very same subject, only a year+ earlier. After seeing the "all knowing" old posters make some mistakes, I thought it would be relevant based on what 360lifer said about new posters not having any cred. Also, in that thread you have L-Burna (an all powerful Senior Member) agreeing with PS2Menace.
