If you are running any fw on lite-ons, you run a higher risk of getting caught. Everyone should just wait until iXtreme Lite Touch comes out...I wouldn't risk going online before then. c4eva even said that all fw is now detectable, hence the reason he's coming out with iX LT.

Did he really say that word for word? Last I heard he said "no more bans from firmware" which hints at the fact that the FW was being detected, but I don't think he said that was why.

How come Liteons are at risk more?

 

im still cheking day to day these forums if anyone is reporting their xbox banned, i would wait at least till friday, but ill wait until ppl just stop posting banned xbox 360 today if i can, like a week ago i played and still no ban on my 360.

 

No ban for me yet, xbox still alive.

Living in Sweden and running Lite on with fw 1.6. I will wait until the new fw comes out before I will play online again.

 

anyone notice that the xbox scene website/forums has been down?

Any relation to this crack down by MS?

 

Yeah, the relation is that there are a ton of people getting banned and they are all swarming on the website, which is overloading it...

 

Sorry, I just got news that c4eva never did say that it is detectable and he found out. Even though he hasn't said that, I have reason to believe it is detectable since he's coming out with Lite Touch.

I keep reading this stuff on my site and I believe one of the posts said that 70% of the bans were lite ons. We apparently have an MS employee on the site (rogue might I add...who knows if he's lying or not) and he stated that the liteons were the test drive for this new detection method. Who knows...

But we are trying to keep everything organized and make sure we knock down any myths or rumors about this whole ordeal on my site. You can check out what we have so far:

Hi I have been following this ban wave like most everyone else here and there is one thing I am noticing that I am surprised nobody is questioning. It seems everyone who has installed games to their modded 360 has been banned. I am just curious if installing the games now 100% guarantees you will get banned so
I am wondering if there is anyone here that has installed burned games to their HD and NOT been banned?
I myself am new to 360 modding and just flashed my 360 and a friends about a week ago. One is a Hitachi 1.51 and other is a Samsung 1.61. We have both been on live for a week about playing a copied Borderlands and also Tales of Vesperia. Neither of us have installed the games and to this point we are ban free. I am going to continue burning games and playing on live but I do not plan on burning any wave 4 games until they turn out to be more safe, sorry MW2.

Either way I am really curious if anyone here has installed copied games to their 360 and is ban free.

 

Hey guys I'm a noob to Xbox Live and all that fun stuff, but I can confirm that my console got banned today after I plugged it back in after about three weeks of not using it.

I was not playing any games, I just turned it on to test my connection and the ban hammer scree came up. Too bad I recently activated my 12 month live card!

Ohh well, I'll stick to PC gaming and single player xbox.

 

well i have all my games saved to my hard drive yet i have not receievd the ban so god knows

 

i read on another forum someone who just flashed his elite never even had a copy in it just played downloadable content from xbl and he got banned, says to me its deffo firmware

 

my 2 cents,

Everybody who modded his xbox after 28 october isn't going to get banned yet.

 

hmm I am probably wrong then and its just coincidence.

 

Even if my console gets banned I still am happy I modded it because their are plenty of one player games that I just have passed up on buying.

A friend of mine updated to 1.61 fw after that date and got banned this week.

 

ur saying urself "updated' so that means he already was modded..
