MS Ban Hammer - 10.30.09

I was able to swap the HDD back and forth last night right after I was banned and none of the profiles were corrupted. The only thing I did on the banned console was try to log into Live. I played retail MW2 on the new console with the same gamer tag and hard drive and it was fine.

From what I understand, I think I should be fine, I'm just looking for some confirmation before I try it tonight.

 

I got banned on the 6th in the Uk and i was second out of every one i know the first was on the 4th and after that i seemed to get told of people gettin banned every day since then really.

 

Yeah i had 2 freinds gt band on 4th or 5th n now its everywhere, and i thought i may have been a survivor oh well no point in cryin over it.
Just have to wait for 1.7

 

ye no point crying over spilt milk, think of all the free single player games you can play now worry free, Iv still got what i think or rather hope is an unbanned one that isn connected to live, so ill try the new fw and hope for the best when it comes out.

 

M$ server sweeps live for consoles that are to be banned so if you stay off live till the wave ends (if ever) then you might be ok till the next wave. You might still be listed to be banned but if they only do it once a year avoid it now and you could have another year before they start crossing people off that list.
We all know by this stage that M$ can detect modded consoles so if you go on live it is unlikely you will survive and it was written on here before that wave would end on the 13th. Might not be true do.
Logging in to check if your banned now is like being in the trenches and popping your head out to know if your gonna get shot.

 

I cant see the ban ending so soon to be honest id be tempted to wait til xmas has been and gone then M$ wont be pushing for sales as much. Or am I being a bit paranoid lol...

 

Question....For all that have been banned, are you able to login in via website (xboxlive.com) to view your account? Just asking, I've not been banned yet, but was able to login via website.

Oh well, time to buy PS3 or just come back to PC gaming.

 

Yes you can still log onto to the website as the ban doesn't affect your gamer tag.

 

Yes I can still log in to xbox.com and i've been banned. Doesn't show me on there that i've been banned as it's the console that is banned not xbox live account.

 

yes you can as i used the website to cancel my live subscription. for some reason i had the sense to pay monthly.

ill jus go buy new one tomorrow and there are loads of banned consoles still being sold around so i think ill try and sell it and get some of my cash back

 

ye ebay is flooded with em at the moment id wait get it updated on the new firmware when that comes out then sell it cos theyll be worth more once this all dies down i reckon.

played all verified games except BUT did play c0d6 early with the wifi and hard drive unplugged.

I got banned a week ago on my hitachi with ixtreme 1.51. The most recent games i played was GTA: episodes from liberty city, and COD6 with no hdd or ethernet plugged in. My other xbox hadn't got banned at the time, it has a benQ with 1.6 spoofed as a Sammy in it. Too scared to go online with it now to see whether it has been banned. Looks like it never will go online ever again. Lucky i currently have 5 xboxs atm to use )

 

I think you are on to something, although it might not be the main reason, but you never know. I do know the person who modded my console said you can send it to repair and don't worry they wont ever check your firmware on your drive, but maybe as repairs come in that's something they might check too.

Plus as I said before they are probably on this forum retrieving information on how we mod it and use it against us.

They might even be the people on this forum giving us false information about how they were banned so they can throw us off in making a new FW.

The only real way to know is with the FW, it really needs a lot of testing before being release and not just 1 week.

 

Same here, M$ didn't win all they did was create a little more work for me. I have 1 for online and 1 for single player. I playe single player about 85% of the time and only 15% is online with H3. I'm better off this way without having to fear of losing anything or features on my console. The only thing they did win out of me was disabling the install feature of games on the HD... I'm actually more pissed about that.

 

I've been banned, never played anything early, only cracked 6 months ago. Only been on live about 20 days! Only have 5 backup ( nothing new). All games are checked with abgx. Runing 1.6 updated to 1.61 last week. And I got banned! Plus my sisters xbox is banned and it's not cracked which no1 can explain. So I haven't much of the things people are saying it's baecause.

 

was your sisters an used or new, also are your abgx checks ripped yourself and if so what level did u use?
