MS Ban Hammer - 10.30.09

This is the worst story I have ever heard of in this forum. I know for a fact that you have read every post in this forum in regards to flashing consoles. You buy all of these arcades without any type of need, yet you plan to flash them all. Good luck with you credit card payments and your job at target.

 

I think your just bashing against me for no real reason and your taking your anger and frustration by the comment you just made. I think I made it real clear for the reason why I am using the consoles, there is an actual purpose for it and the "job at target" comment actually made me laugh because it's irrelevant to my comment or the comment you made. I'm now sure what direction you were going with what you said. Either way, sorry to see that your upset and let's just move on.

I heared Left 4 Dead 2 is a wave 5. I have a modded console, but I have Left 4 Dead 2 pre-ordered and payed off, also with the big update on tuesday, I'm terrified.

I am now back online with a legit xbox bought today. New arcade from Walmart. What is this that I'm hearing about the new lite-on drives not being dumpable? Please tell me that's just someone talking who doesn't know the lite-ons can be dumped with an extractor probe and what not. I've modded many lite-ons but is there a newer version of it that came out without me knowing? I did notice that the arcade didn't have the additional heat sink on it....that was upsetting...I wonder if they decided it wasn't needed.

In response to the repeated inquiry regarding the question of will your hard drive ban your unmodded xbox, the answer is no!! In addition, if you haven't been banned yet, then yes, you can swap your HD back and forth between your modded and unmodded systems and still get achievements on both.

One more thing, I know not everyone in this room is out of high school yet but....there, their, they're. Those are 3 different words. I'm not here to give a grammer lesson or anything but rather save some people some embarrassment when they make it to the professional community.

 

There is currently no way to extract the key from the NEWER Liteon 83850C and 93450C August 2009+ (The pre August 2009 Liteon 83850C DVD key can be extracted using SATA - the USB / Serial is NOT required.

 

This may be of interest , I Purchased a new Xbox about 3 weeks ago after mine had seen better days and several repairs but as the ban wave was going on I thought I would leave it alone and flash it when all goes quiet , To my total amazement I have been banned , Now bear in mind this machine is brand new and has not been flashed yet , I have taken it apart now and checked the drive to see if it has been tampered with and returned as they do but the drive firmware is still original, Still has a 74850C Inside.

 

I presume your previous console was flagged and they benned this one by mistake. I think if you post in xbox's forums they will take another look but if your lying they ban your gamertag completely.

 

I never played WAVE4 games on my box. Using 1.51 FW and got banned today. The backed up games that always use to play online are COD4,Dirt2 and played it ONLINE yesterday....

 

Logged on today at 2:30 am to see I also was banned. Flashed 1.6 to benq. in August. Always checked with AGBX before and after burning. Im in Arkansas. Oh well looks like Ill just stick with PC games from now on. Wife is gonna be pissed tho cause we lost out netflix..lol

Also I never played any Wave 4 games, and also never played MW2..I did play Borderlands also..but like I said it checked out 100% ok before and after burn in AGBX. Now I say screm MICROpenis..Online on the PC is better anyday on the PC and now I can play whatever I want without waiting for release dates or whatever. Never have to use AGBX again! And when Project Natal comes out then Ill worry about gut swapping this POS.And as far as netflix goes..geez Ill just download my movies and stream them from the Pc...lol Acctually they are saving us all money. but I guess in all honesty I am upset or why else would I be rambling or even posting on here...LOL Goodday folks....

 

I just had an epiphany. Let's say, someone mods their xbox, has a problem with it and needs to send it in for warranty, puts the original FW back on it to prevent M$ from becoming wise to their shenanigans, M$ sends them a different xbox (as they do), the once modded xbox is then parted out and rebuilt, then sold in a store as a new xbox to it's new, unsuspecting, and soon to be banned owner. Technically, according to what I've heard on this forum, if the drive was ever modded M$ can detect it. What I'm politely trying to say is, your new, clean xbox might really be a little dirty whore xbox with a new dress and hair cut.

P.S. That really sucks that I probably got one of the new lite-ons. Oh well, I still have my modded and now permanently offline xbox.

 

i got banned today, 14th, i was expecting it so its okay because now i can play assasins creed and what not but my problem is that i can not play movies of my portable harddrive now because it says i need to get a media uupdate, status code: 51-c00df236. i must of already had this update because i watch stuff on it every day. dies anyone know what i can do?

As far as I understand it, nothing. Video content can no longer be played by that console ~(though streaming should still work).

I'm almost glad my laser decided to start playing up a couple of weeks ago. It's kept me offline. I was going to pot fix and get on Live, but I need my hard drive capabilities now, more than ever, so I'll let the subscription quietly run out next week. I prefer PSN, anyway ;-)
I'm just worried that I'll end up frying my laser and I'm sure unbanned modded boxes will be something of a premium, soon :-(

 

Quick Question. Does it matter if you use a connectivity kit as opposed to powering form the xbox during Flashing because i am reading where by powering form the console it throws an error which is logged on your xbox which can get u flagged. (please dont flame its just a question)
