I can't understand why people are still getting online just to get banned. I shelfed my modded box and am going to wait it out. Playing on a legit unit from Wal-Mart for now.

Why risk getting banned just so you can play for a few hours? :\

And before someone starts coaching me about how you can be offline for months and get online and get banned I know this already. However, I have kept mine offline since this thing began and it is still not banned.

 

And you would know its not banned..... how?

 

Call M$ and ask if you're still covered under warranty. Well, that was the original idea. I have since heard that M$ will tell you you're still under warranty, take your info for your return, send you the stuff to ship it, then tell you it's not returnable due to tampering. So, you would actually have to go pretty far down that path to find out if you're banned....good news though, it won't cost you anything, and PLUS, you get a kickass box for free!! Yahoo!!

I 2nd that!

 

- All 7 XBox 360s that I have modded for friends are now banned. (This includes all 4 drive variations [BenQ, Samsung, Hitachi, and BenQ LiteOn], also all other people that I have met with modded consoles are now banned as well)

- One of the 360s never had a burnt game inserted into it.

- Every game that I have ever given out was always abgx360 stealth checked.

- All were flashed with 1.6 or 1.5 (Hitachi), except for my most recent one, flashed with 1.61.

 

Got hit today. I knew it was coming but didn't know when. The thing is though I forgot to disconnect my HDD/MC. My Tennessee Vols had me all torn up so I forgot to remove the HDD. I figured I was screwed. However, my HDD unit wasn't corrupted like most others have said. I am able to play the games I have on the HDD & can also install games. Why is that? Has MS changed their policy since the bans started of crippling HDD's? I feel lucky!

Your right, I don't have a girlfriend. I have a wife and and a couple of days ago we just celebrated our 15 years of being together since our senior in high school and 5 year wedding anniversary. She's more of hard gamer than I am, hence why the multiple xbox with tv's.

 

i dont think getting banned is the reason everyone's profiles are getting corrupted upon hot swapping the hdd with another console. Before the bans I had a hard drive that would only work on my console. I tried using it with at least 10 other xbox's but the profiles would always be corrupted. I think microsoft just f****ed up with the whole hdd swapping thing in the first place.

 

And so the ban wave is still going strong judging from some of today's posts.

 

guys there is a new iextreme firmware c4eva is working on, it's called iextreme lite touch, it will unban banned consoles. There is no estimate date on it yet but it will be out soon. if this really works, we dont have to sell our banned consoles!!

It will not unban consoles. It's a false report dude! Check Google docs & find out for yourself.

 

I've not played any games on my banned console with my online profile and it ain't corrupt, I moved it to a memory unit, I checked on system settings and all was normal, I signed in on my friends unbanned xbox and it signed in fine. All the work I did while I was offline is now saved! I think I can carry on playing on my banned one with my profile with the mu and keep swapping back and forth with my forthcoming new xbox happy days

on the second paragraph, it says that the new firmware will unban banned consoles and you dont have to spend money on a new console.
