MS Ban Hammer - 10.30.09

a friend of mine changed his firmware to the original afraid of the ban wave, he was banned either way, if you have played backups online with that xbox you`ll likely be banned.
like other people have said, if your flagged then you will get ban when signing in to live

 

Thanks for being helpful. I'll keep my fingers crossed then and log on live tonight and hopefully it wasn't flagged since I haven't really used it much for anything else but watching dvds. =( If it connects to live without a ban, I'll leave it back at it's original firmware and only play my original (non backed up) games.

 

I got banned on the 14th of November..I am soo mad..but ya know what..I just sucked it up..because it was MY fault I was banned..I made the decision to flash my drive. So you know what I did to get UNBANNED? I went to walmart and bought a new xbox. I was going to gut swap..but I thought about it and I have already for the last 3 yrs. gotten SOO much free software that why would I risk going to jail over an XBOX. So to all the people bitching and complaining..you need to take a step back and look at the privlage that we were givin. So if you really want your live back then just save your money and go buy a new one. And dont say all that crap about "feeding the machine". Dont be a such a freeloading loser and contribute to our economy by buying an xbox. Or just shut your mouth and play all you want offline and before release. JUST STOP the damn crying already!

 

so it looks like my other xbox elite got banned too. It's gonna be awhile before I could buy another xbox. Maybe I'll just have to start using my PS3 that's covering in dust. Too bad because I hardly played any games on this xbox that just got banned. I still have my live membership too and I can't use the netflix and other features. =/

 

Agreed. It seems like most of these people who are whining think there is 0 risk involved when the had their 360 modded. Instead of crying, buy another 360 or move on. Just be thankful you are not in jail.

 

O how seriously boring going back to ps3 zzz Onlinwith kids and people who pressed play online by mistake.

The membership fee is what seperates xbox live to other competition. Its excellent

I have my modded 360 for cheap games, and my PS3 for the one thing I play online (MGO).
The multiplayer is an added bonus, for those who appreciate it, and I don't think that there really is that much difference between Live and PSN (other than the price).
I don't think price is the issue, as anyone with the money to buy a PS3 can certainly afford a 360 and a couple of years on Live ;-)

 

Why's it too bad? Ahhh... I see. Someone must have modded it for you and didn't tell you the risks of using a modded console. THOSE B@$TARDS! How can those modders do that to you. :/

I just thoughtid let everyone here know if they don't know already, but the new ixtreme LT will no longer emulate split vid, so we have to make sure all our backups have been split vidded, i.e. a 7.29gb file, not a 7.05.

 

It also won't repair the ISOs that have the angles not usable by Ixtreme 1.4 and lower. I've asked in another thread how those can be fixed but haven't gotten an answer yet, but as it stands, I've taken all those games out of my rotation and need to get new rips.

 

They are fixable. Under the misc options tab in ABGX, you can select to add splitvid to your game automatically if it isn't there.

 

I have that selected. These angles are not the same thing apparently.

 

I bolded the important part. The splitvid is fine, but the bad angles that newer versions of Ixtreme repair will no longer be fixed with LiteTouch, which is going to be a problem for a LOT of people.

 

Never played any of my games on live, just connected occasionally to talk to friends and still got banned. Definitely think it has to do with achievements earned while offline. Oh well Bill Gates can go f%ck himself since I'll continue to rip games and save myself $100 for every new release (that's the price for new games here in Australia).

You can fix angles greater than 360 degrees using abgx, you just need to make sure that setting is ticked.

One other thing I CANNOT stand is these people who post on here claiming to be Modders?..lol just because you hooked up ur 360 and flash a fw on it using pre writter software...Does NOT make you a modder..A wannabe thief script kiddie is more like it. To me a modder is someone who can write their own code or do Hardware mods from scratch. Oh and Im banned too...whah..I just bought a new box and no complaints.
