Ok Here's what I propose. Everyone... let's completely ignore him in this thread. From now on no matter what this person says we just ignore it as if he didn't even post. I'll start first by officially saying that this is the last time I will reference anything that he says.

 

There's gonna be another ban wave soon and its not going to be from Microsoft if you catch the drift friend! Lets all try to act civilized shall we.

I havnet heard any new people getting banned. does that mean it's the ban wave is over now?

 

When was the last report of a new ban in 2009?

 

Just got a call from my cousin, flashed his Sammy a few months ago with 1.6, he's never been on live with it, all games I gave him were wave 3, checked with agbx. He was banned trying to go on live for the first time. Ban wave still in effect as of Dec 30th 2009.

 

This doesn't mean the wave is still in effect. It means his console was already flagged for banning by the console itself, and when he logged on that data was sent to MS, resulting in the banning. Not the same thing.

Started Dec. 23rd. People are still getting banned. These guys were running homebrew, so it was expected of them to be banned.

But it also shows MS is still keeping an eye out.

 

today is january 2th, is the wave over yet? i am so desperate for xbox live, god i want to connect it so bad.

 

So just do it. You've probably already been flagged so why wait. Unless something comes out to erase or delete the flags your going to get banned even if the ban wave is over.

You're flagged for the banning before the ban wave begins. Doesn't matter if you logged on during the ban wave or not...if you're flagged, you will be banned any time you connect to live. Therefore, it's best to call up MS or use their website to try to setup a repair and see if you've been flagged already...this way you can keep the functionality on your HD and uncrippled saves. For what it's worth though I flashed to 1.41 NS a few days back and am not banned...I doubt that means anything though, i imagine i'll be banned again eventually.

 

is there another way to check if your system has been flagged without setting up repair on their website or calling ms?

 

You could go ahead and try to log on, but those are the only ways to check and not get your hd install and such taken away.

Why don't you want to set up a repair or give them a ring?

 

Will M$ repair a banned 360? Would they check first if its banned?

 

they would check first and inform you although im not sure about if they would repair it if you payed them for the service.

 

If it's banned they won't do any repairs. On the website it simply takes you to an error page. I feel they are justified to be honest.

 

My Box is Flagged to be banned. I've not connected to Live since Oct 09. After hearing about ban wave stayed offline, but was curious to see if I had been flagged contact M$ repair and was informed my box was not eligible for repair. Oh Well, I'm just using it to watch movies via portable hard drive.

 

Flashed my Liteon 7xx with 1.6 on 5th Nov 09 and still not banned as of yet. I hadn't been on Live for about 2 months until yesterday when i logged in just to see if i had been banned. After seeing i wasn't i downloaded some DLC for Mass Effect (thinking all the time i was going to get kicked) =). Xbox site still shows as in warranty. Sadly my mate did get banned on two of his consoles (one 1.6 one 1.61).
